Brandon and Kim

We recently photographed the wedding of Brandon and Kim, which took place at a charming country church, where many of Kim's family have been baptized and married through the years. The colors were rich, especially the brown tuxes, and the day unfolded without a hitch. The rain even subsided long enough for us to snap some outdoor photos.

Kim's roots are in Nebraska, but Brandon's family hails from Iowa, and it didn't take long to figure out that there was a serious NU/ISU rivalry between many of the guests. Luckily, it was all in good fun and the reception remained (relatively) peaceful.

Mr. and Mrs. Chickinell

If you're a follower of the Moseley Photography blog, you probably recall Tara and Corey's adorable engagement photos. Now, we are pleased to announce they are husband and wife! Last Friday they tied the knot in a ceremony and reception that have been planned since Tara was about three years old. Every detail of the day was perfectly put together to make an absolutely beautiful experience for friends and family. I have been long-time friends with Tara's family and it was a privilege to participate in the celebration with them. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Chickinell!

Troy and Lauren

Last Saturday, we celebrated the marriage of Troy and Lauren. I still can't believe how amazing the weather has been this month, and Saturday was no exception. Lauren looked stunning - her dress was gorgeous.

I love the first photo below - seeing each other for the first time. And the rest of the day was just as happy and relaxed. There was no stress, just these two letting the day unfold. As you'll see, they got a little playful with the pink champagne cake and even led a conga line later in the evening. What a fantastic day!

Adam and Candice

Adam and Candice got married on Friday and the day was absolutely beautiful. Beyond the colors, the flowers, the dress, the weather (75 degrees in mid-July)...the love between this couple was what made this day so amazing. They were both beaming all day.

Every bride and groom are obviously in love and look forward to their wedding day, but these two didn't let go of each other the entire day. They held hands, they kissed, they hugged (well, the best they could with Candice's hoop skirt!). We are so excited for you, Adam and Candice - thanks for sharing your day with us.

Kiddos

Last weekend, we spent some time in Battle Creek, Nebraska. Between our friends and their siblings, they have a brood of adorable kids. The group needed a bag of jelly beans to get them through the shoot, but they were very patient and we got some great shots.

Down Time in KC

Isn't it great to get away for a few days? To truly unplug? Well that's just what we did last weekend. We took a break from the wedding action and spent three days in Kansas City visiting very dear friends of ours, Meg and Zach. It was great to relax, eat great food and have good conversation. But perhaps the funniest part of the trip was spending time with their Labradoodle, Watson. It's difficult to describe this dog - he's one of those you just have to meet. Here are a few photos of Meg and Watson - I'd like to take more next time - it was just too hot to be outside very long.

Kim and Brandon's E-Session

Kim and Brandon are getting married in August and we recently photographed their engagement session in Louisville on the family farm. The old buildings were such a great backdrop, but surprisingly, there weren't any old farm equipment or abandoned cars for them to climb on. Regardless, I love how these turned out.
