2008 Year in Review

After a wonderful weekend of family gatherings and delicious food, Nathan and I have been reflecting on what we're thankful for.

We are thankful the gifts and talents God has given us - which enables us to photograph the most intimate moments of a couple's life. 2008 has been an amazing year full of fantastic clients. Each of them has impacted who we are and the way we shoot. It has been a pleasure witnessing the commitment they make to each other.

We have the best job in the world - and it's all because of our clients. Thank you all for inviting us into your wedding celebration. We couldn't be happier for 2008's newlyweds! Cheers to a blessed 2009!

Blayr & Dustin's Wedding

Our 'sneak peak' wedding posts usually contain 4 photos...but as you can see, I can't narrow it down! Blayr and Dustin got married one week ago at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Omaha. It was an extra special day for this couple because a few weeks ago, Blayr wasn't sure she'd be healthy enough for the wedding. But thanks to a team of doctors and some serious time recuperating, she was able to put on her princess gown and enjoy the entire day.

These two are a great match - Dustin is a pretty straight-forward guy and Blayr keeps things light with her kindness and humor. They love each other deeply and it was a blessing to witness their commitment to each other.

The reception contained something that's not usually on the schedule of events...Blayr surprised Dustin with a song! (and man, she sang her heart out)

Ashley & Greg E-Session

Skyline Ranches in Elkhorn was the location of our engagement shoot last Sunday. It was a gorgeous day and Ashley looked beautiful. These two were awesome - very comfortable in front of the camera. They are planning an outdoor wedding in the spring, in the very same spot. We can't wait!

Amy & Joe E-session

Amy and Joe are getting married in Lincoln on June 6, 2009. We shot their engagement photos last weekend and had a great time. These two were fantastic - it was unseasonably warm, but they didn't mind at all. I think Joe was a little uncomfortable with me taking photos while he kissed his bride-to-be, but it didn't take long for him to start joking around. Amy and Joe are both easygoing, and it shows in the photos. They love each other very much and can't wait get married next summer!

Krista & Aaron

This weekend, we had the pleasure of spending the day with Krista & Aaron and their wedding party. What a great group of friends and family they have! It was evident these people care deeply for Krista & Aaron. Lee Anne and Cheryl were awesome personal attendants. And the man of honor, best man, groomsman and ushers kept us laughing the whole day.

Krista & Aaron have great chemistry - and that makes it easy to capture their love for each other, and their excitement to start a new life together.

Thank you all for making it such a memorable day - it was a pleasure to celebrate with you.

Welcome!

Thanks for visiting moseleyphotography.com! We are so excited to officially launch the site. We could not have done it without the help of our friends Cathy Solarana and Brian Wetjen.

It's the eve of our official launch party and we could not be happier to share an evening with the family and friends we love. Thank you all for your support and encouragement. You have pushed us to pursue something we really, really love - and we can't believe it's finally happening! (Isn't it funny how a small business used to be 'official' when it finally had a Yellow Pages ad? Now it's a website...can't wait to see what the next big thing is.)

Thank you, thank you for visiting our site and for telling people about Moseley Photography.

Grant & Beth

We had the privilege of photographing Grant and Beth's wedding two weeks ago. As you will see in the photos, Beth's dress was amazing - the largest train we've shot to date. She was absolutely beautiful...and Grant was simply a stud. Every detail of the wedding was elegant, from the bridesmaids' dresses to the all-white decor at the reception. Here's a sneak peek at a few of their photos.

Trash the Dress!

"Trash the what? Don't you guys do wedding photography...aren't you supposed to get beautiful shots of brides in pristine white dresses?" Well, yes. However, a new phenomenon has hit the Midwest. At some point after the wedding, when a bride feels ready to sacrifice her dress, she dons the gown and accompanies us on a fashion shoot. We are proud to present the first willing bride to brave everything from railroad tracks to a roaring waterfall. Take a look at Katie and Andy...trashing the dress.
